We are pleased to announce that OPS-X simulator based training is
available for presentation by Powersmiths personnel in a classroom/ team training setting at your site. The
training will be a combination of lecture and team simulator exercises using the PowerWorld based OPS-X modules. We
simply request that a minimum of 8 students attend.
The training will cover AC Systems on Day 1, EHV Operations on Day 2
and Congestion Management on Day 3. Please see the home page of this website for more detail on these topics.
The training can be extended to cover the remaining OPS-X modules,
Power System Restoration and Transmission Emergency Operations if desired.
All training is NERC approved, can be applied to the new NERC Expanded
Operator Certification Program and meets the NERC Emergency Operations training requirements. Additionally, the training
provides an excellent foundation in Power System Fundamentals for the new NERC System Operator Certification exam.
The cost for the training is $950 for the three days. Individual
days are available at $395 per day. The cost of the training can be fully applied to the licensing of the respective
OPS-X modules.
