In this course we discuss Reliability in the context of
power system operations and the evolving NERC and its primary responsibility for Reliability in North America.
This course is targeted at power system operators who need
NERC approved CEH's for re-certification, those who are preparing for any of the NERC System Operator Certification exams and
those who need Emergency Operations hours in the performance of their job. It is also excellent experience in the hands-on
application of the NERC Reliability Standards for those who work within the framework of NERC Standards and federal and state
regulation.
We will present power system fundamentals in the context of the NERC Reliability Standards. This
method improves the understanding of the Standards and makes the power system fundamentals more relevant.
This training will utilize our OPS-X Power System simulation modules
I- IV. These modules use power system simulation to drive home the fundamentals of power system operation.
The cost for the training is $1,350 for the four days. If
you don't have four days, come for as many days as you like. Each is 8 NERC CEH's. The cost is $375 per day.
The topics of Modules I-IV are: AC Systems, EHV Operations,
Congestion Management and Power System Restoration.
Please see the other pages on this web site for details on these
OPS-X Modules.
This Power System Reliability course carries 32 NERC CEH credits, 20
Standards hours, 25 simulation hours and 32 Emergency Operations hours.
